This collection is a sincere tribute to the lives of African fisherwomen, capturing their strength, grace and deep connection to the sea. Inspired by my travels to coastal villages, I have tried to translate their daily struggles and triumphs into dreamlike vignettes, rich in vibrant colours and evocative movements. Through the interplay of impressionist and expressionist techniques, I portray not only the beauty of their surroundings but also the enduring spirit that sustains their communities. These paintings invite the viewer for a shared moment of reflection - an ode to resilience, cultural depth and the quiet strength of lives that are often overlooked yet deeply inspiring.
