Local fishermen are found worldwide but the landscape in Africa adds an extra dimension. I painted this work in a figurative expressionist style with acrylic paint on panel. My goal is to portray the atmosphere of Africa with fishermen, men and women, who are catching fish with small nets on a sea, river or lake for their daily meal. Our world is always busy producing more and more, this work makes you stop and think about the essence of life.

The work was created by using acrylic and ink on a panel and framed in a black wooden frame. The size of the painting is 40 x 40 cm mounted in a frame of 46 x 467 cm. (thickness about 1 cm) The work is signed on the back of the panel and on the back of the frame.
